My favorite parts:

Kumano piggy-backing on Aoba (recalls how during the IRL aftermath of Leyte Gulf, they tried to escape Philippines together (only Aoba made it))

Uranami, Shiranui, and Hayashimo holding hands (Hayashimo had fallen behind during the retreat from Leyte Gulf and almost picked off, but managed to beach herself NW of Panay Island. Shiranui and Uranami tried to find and rescue her one after the other and were picked off and sunk one after the other)

Fujinami comforting Choukai (Fujinami had rescued Choukai's crew, but was herself later sunk with all hands, including the Choukai survivors)

Chikuma lifting a crying Nowaki in her arms (as with Fujinami and Choukai, Nowaki rescued Chikuma's crew when she sank and was also later sunk with all hands and all previous survivors)

Suzuya bear-hugging Okinami (Suzuya's crew was rescued by Okinami after being fatally damaged off Samar. Unlike the above two, the survivors made it back home, and when Okinami was sunk in Manila Bay 2 weeks later, most of her crew survived)

Nachi patting Akebono's head as Mogami runs alongside her, possibly going for a low hug or possibly not (during Mogami's retreat from Surigao, she collided with Nachi--current scholarly consensus was that it was Nachi who rammed, not Mogami--which sealed her fate. Akebono rescued Mogami's crew and scuttled her. Nachi and Akebono were later sunk in Manila bay, though a week apart)

There's more, of course, but those are just the ones that I liked best

I love how Yamashiro lifting the crying Shigure the most.

I like how the artist made this with all of their "color" tag corresponding to the historical composition from History itself to the game.
