    The thing is, White-faced Owl always says "-nodesu" or "-nanodesu", but a lot of the translators don't carry the verbal tic over. (She says "Go-go-go-gomen -nanodesu. Yogorete shimatta -nodesu" in the third panel.) It's just because the translator doesn't write "nanodesu" at any time other than when it's used as a standalone exclamation that it stands out.
