As I'm sure you know, there are a few other Pokémon in this situation, such as the beta versions of Pichu, Cleffa, Sneasel, Porygon2 and others from the GS beta.

This reminds me that as discussed in the topic #15134, I deleted a bunch of tags for human characters specific to certain copyrights like haruka_(pokemon)_(remake) and takeshi_(pokemon)_(frlg) because they can be found by a normal character + copyright search.

On the one hand, these beta versions can be found by a character + coyright search too. On the other hand, plenty of those beta versions have a wildly different appearance and it can be argued that we don't want to "pollute" the normal tags with the beta images. Most beta Pokémon have different names anyway and thus already get different tags.

I'm leaning towards yes, in my opinion maybe we should use torchic_(beta), pichu_(beta), sneasel_(beta), porygon2_(beta), and a few others like those.

@Hillside_Moose participated in that discussion. What do you think, Hillside Moose? Should we create the beta tags above?

Yeah that was my train of thought as well. They might as well just be different characters.

OK, for now I implemented the change as you suggested. I created and populated all the currently needed *_(beta) Pokémon tags as discussed above. It does look better now in my opinion.
