So then, how she get linked with Kaga or Houshou? Parole officer? Fellow inmate?
I figure they met when they became shipgirls. I'd like to imagine that Kaga is the daughter of a traditionalist craftsman family. Maybe a fletcher and was in training when she was made a shipgirl
I kinda wonder what if she was framed for a crime.
It's kinda un-Akagi for her since as a shipgirl, she's a gluton but kind...
Maybe she adapted that persona to survive prison...
Who knows, but this concept grabbed my attention.
I guess in this artist's universe, Akagi is just some ruthless and remoreseless killer. In the page where her description was written, that's the case. She kind of agreed to be a ship girl since she has a pass to kill....Abyssals that is.

Now I'm curious how would Kaga and the other carriers be?

There are a lot of possibilities. Zabuton portrayed the shipgirls here to have unusual and unexpected backgrounds. Akagi is a killer, Miyuki and Hatsuyuki are very much tragic (same goes for Furutaka and Shimakaze), while the others aren't much different.
I hope the artist makes a sequel. I love how he imagined their lives was like as ordinary humans before they became shipgirls. It's way different from their personalities (though Maya doesn't seem different).
