Fun fact, Carmilla is the name of a novella about the eponymous lesbian vampire (yes, really -- even though it was written in the Victorian era), who befriends and flirts with and then sucks the lifeblood out of a nobleman's daughter. It is said to have inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula, too.
