This is how you should NOT design a silent comic: Everyone has the same color outfit, only one face, no scenery, almost no tone. Can't even make a strong guess as to what is happening.
The best I can tell is that the boy is apparently putting his head on something similar to his father's hair, if not actually being hugged by his father who is leaning over. (The super-short boy is apparently taller than the black hair mass.)
Also, the black-and-white backgrounds imply this might be something in Jeanne's Detective Vision or whatever, so maybe she doesn't have a full clue what's going on, either.
I'd venture a guess that the boy is being carried on his father's back, sleeping with his face on on the father's hair, and the hand at the boy's back is the mother's hand. But it's only a guess.
It's really confusing, but maybe that's the point.
