    Would this count as Cannibalism?
I mean, you're eating a "Friend" which has similarities to a Human's trait other than their Wild Sides

Much more effective reasoning would be to point out that pigs are one of the smartest animals on the planets. Not that far off from dogs and such.

Won't stop me from eating their delicious meat though... not at least until we can grow cultured bacteria that can replicate the various types of bacon near perfectly. Then I will be jumping over to that wagon as fast as I can.

Scientifically speaking, you can't EVER culture just a single strain of bacteria to replicate any kind of multi-cell-type structures. Even taking the lowest number possible, you'd still need at least 4 kinds of structure to make bacon: adipose (fat) tissue, muscle fiber (meat) tissue, connective tissue (collagen) and skin tissue for side bacon. Not to mention the resulting product would looks like a blob of flesh-tumor, really, given it has not given any 'growth directions' nor structural support like bones or skin.

True, They can replicate pretty decently mushed type of meat nowadays through bacterial culture. I believe it will be a question of how you will structure the tanks/containers, the bacteria flora you are using and just how close you want to get to the real deal. I doubt they will ever reach the exact, but for me personally, close enough is good enough.

I am sure it will be possible in time, just maybe not perfectly and might lack some of the fat factor (which *is* darn important mind you). Maybe by layering another flora on top another to create different layers?

Honestly, these things are still in their infancy so who knows how they will go about it? But it will certainly be better than continuing ruining the global climate via farts.

Would like to mention there are breeded plants out there that were made to taste like meat and they actually were successful. The "Problem"? People thought it was weird so they stopped doing it.

But from what I read. They really did taste like Chicken/Beef/Pork. And its just crossbreeded and normal cultivized like other fruits/veggies. so it's entirely "Natural".

Just market them to the vegans. It'll shut them up, plus convert some of them back to meat eaters.

...that's bothering me. I've never seen any vegans advertising these kinds of plants. Maybe because they're GMO or something? And that doesn't count as 'natural'?

Maybe they are afraid the will want to eat more meat considering humans are omnivores with propensity for meat?

There's already ways to cook veggies and Fruits that taste similar to meat anyways even without trying to crossbreed Hybrids.

Eggplant if roasted the right way can actually have the same texture and even taste just like Bacon. As in that Fatty Pork Bacon.

I was skepticle till i tried the recipe myself. It honestly does taste like Bacon except it's more healthier and cheaper.

Okay, I must try out that recipe myself. I love bacon but considering how unhealthy it is, I do not mind eating something resembling it instead (though I am pretty sure eggplants are more expensive where I live due to importation cost).
