Are the proportions messed up here? It's hard to tell due to the angle, but it seems like they are.

Hell yeah the proportions are off. Even with the angle, those legs look like stumps.

If the artist were trying to imitate the effect of a fisheye lens centered in her waist, the proportions would be almost right (but then the lines in the background shouldn't be straight).

Very fucking difficult task the artist set themselves. To get it right would take a lot more work.
