Wow, it's basically invisible on my monitor (LCD), and even know that I know where it is it's almost impossible to find the edges. Pop it into photoshop though and multiply layers a few times and it comes out nice and clear.
I have an LCD monitor and I can see both light and dark details well. The secret is calibrating it personally. If you have a Mac, try http://www.bergdesign.com/supercal/

Well danihana, well here's what I did. Moved my head close up to my screen, then turned my head at nine o'clock in the direction where the white area is to the left.
It worked for me on my laptop, whats up with that anyways? I guess that's why the 'Shadow' Tag is there for, but still perhaps it has something to do do with an Anime series that I'm not familiar with.

had you not pointed that out, I probably never would have seen that. that's the downside of LCD monitors, tubes can make darker colors much darker that LCD's.

Holy shit. I had to crane my head sideways to see it. For some reason, it's completely invisible if I look directly at it. How the hell do you do that?

I can finally see it now! Also, I agree. Since Usui is virtually invisible anyway like this damned shadow, it is probably him. The plus side for him being invisible is this show. Unless his back is turned and he doesn't realize it.
Wow, a lot of people responded to my comment. Uh, I just saw it because I stood up to get a glass of water and the angle of the monitor made it stand out. :) No insanely good eyes here. I have an LCD screen (laptop), if anyone cares.
