    There's also Warspite, who's even luckier than Beaverkaze (higher starting luck, and also higher luck cap post-remodel). Now if only Jervis (IIRC highest possible luck in-game) is around too...

    I suppose they're are going with starting luck here, because Johnston actually has a higher luck cap (but only around half the starting luck) compared to Sammy.

    There is only so much luck for a ship that got blasted to pieces.

    But if their was a GUTS stat, Johnston and Sam here would probably have some of the largest stats around. Its one thing to have a lot of GUTs in a night battle when you might not see what you are fighting at first. Its totally different to charge a line of battleships and cruisers in daylight when your in a tin can.

    DAMN STRAIGHT!!! Tin cans are crewed by nutters or people who don't know that one shot from a real gun will end them and THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Well... they were... before... bureaucracy...
