This has got to be the most out of place costume in the game. I don't get any shangri-la feeling from this, and what's up with the creepy bug collection?
This really makes me scared for Iowa future design if this is what they're making Eagle Union ships look like.

... but it's an alternate costume? Since when do any of those make sense.

Creepy bug collection...? How is decent interest in various fauna a creepy thing? It reminds me of the rooms of many professors from the 1880s to around... modern times actually.
Also, I do feel like you should read about the story about the fictional place, Shangri-la before you start complaining, you come out a bit childish.
The clothing and interior stuff is likely a nod to the book, Lost Horizon (by James Hilton), as the IRL ship itself was named after the fictional place in the book.
Edit. In short? This tells me they are truly dedicated to make interesting and cool nods to the shipgirls real life counterparts.

>creepy bug collection
Wow this is bloody low for calling someone how had a keen hobby of collecting butterflies.
Besides Shangri-la's attire gives off an intellectual-type of cuteness, it's homely and reminds me of my old homeroom teacher.

Only thing I think is missing are shadows for the insect displays, unless they're just...photos. Which would be weird? Dunno much about collecting insects. The collection of four butterflies to the right seems to have shadows under the wings, but the rest don't.
A map of...somewhere. A Darwin book. A book about trees. A Hocus Pocus book. I only know that there was a Hocus Pocus film, and searching it up, it's about a boy in Salem who summons three witches. Maybe a USS Salem foreshadowing? Gonna look forward to that hot witch shipfu if it is. Probably not, though, it seems way too random.

Absolutely right. Now if you'll excuse me I need to finish leveling my nine-tailed fox aircraft carriers, preschooler destroyers, and zombie battleships.

I thought they were Vampires and Frankenstein's Monsters?
