I'm predicting they're gonna retcon Aegislash to have been an imported species from Galar or something. And/or make it the ace Pokémon of this game's villainous team leader who's obsessed with gaining the box Legendary with said sword/shield theme.

To be fair, Kalos is literally just across the Channel. Species endemic to one are very likely to be endemic to the other.
