    Hibiki-sensei: UMA (Cryptid)

I got 100% trophies on Sekirou, so I'm trying to bump up my drawing pace.

I don't often see sentences concatenated to this degree, even in Japanese...

Edit: Oh, for some examples of tsuchinoko Hatsukaze stuff, see post #2267217, post #2617174, post #3026333 and post #2162872.

There is also the Lake Champlain monster, aka Champ or Champy.

Today we are having Hatsukaze here to verify this photograph, taken by Aoba, which depicts an UMA-looking entity. Hatsukaze is intimately familiar with UMA stuff; she's also known under the alias "Tsuchinoko" and is one who really makes you get into the spirit of things and cut loose during Christmas.
Hatsukaze was a very hard to get ship in Kancolle earlier days (still is, somewhat, but there are a lot of far rarer ships now), to the point she was called Tsuchinoko, after the Japanese cryptid. During the 2015 Christmas event, Hatsukaze received an alternate CG and briefly became available in far more maps at higher drop rates. TL;DR: Hatsukaze being a cryptid/UMA is an old joke in the Japanese fandom.
As for pleisosaurs at sea, hmm, there are reports of plesiosaur-like carcasses being dredged up at sea that were called Neo Loch Nesses or such, but then again people have explained them away as being rotted basking shark carcasses or something along those lines.
But I personally prefer the plesiosaur theory. It has a certain romance about it, after all.
This is an UMA. It's short for Unidentified Mysterious Animal.
Basically a cryptid in the pseudoscientific cryptozoology sense.
Hey—! Christmas has nothing to do with it, does it?! And I don't even know anything about this UMA thingy!
I have a feeling it's the torpedo dragon we made as a joke the other day after sneaking out some resources on a giant drunken binge...
Well, I'll take a look for now, hmm... It feels like a plesiosaur, judging from the silhouette?
Was this photo taken at sea? Plesiosaur-like UMAs would be either the Mokele-mbembe or the Loch Ness monster, but they both have only been witnessed in lakes, so this can't be either.
W-We did return the resources after all. Nobody will find out so long as we don't tell anyone!!
