Keep in mind that just saying that's nice is frowned upon, as it's kind of spam to have that bump an image in the comments.
Beyond that, though, while Danbooru has plenty of LGBT content, there are still some people who are militantly opposed to any notion that any character they like might be gay or bisexual, and will downvote any evidence to the contrary as part of their refuse to acknowledge such things. What you think is innocuous will be reflexively opposed by someone who is homophobic and therefore thinks a character they like cannot be gay, even if Word of God says otherwise.
As for what's going on, I'm not gay or bi, but I presume there's some level of just plain getting used to being near other naked men that means you won't react too strongly just to seeing other naked men, even when you're attracted to them, and I'm sure even a gay man would stare in shock if a naked woman just strolled in, even if he's not attracted to her body.
