She's a character in a story. All the little details add up to make her what she is. A fallen princess forced to lose her dignity in a seedy bar for the sake of her cause is part of who she is. And that has been taken away from her.

I dunno about you but when a woman's resume is "I suplex god-things and can punch robots too death." I think that qualifies her as more impressive.

The job is bar hostess. She's gotta have it and know how to shake it. Being able to lay a drunkard out will win her some respect, but it'll also drive people away.
I mean, people are really underestimating how important Tifa's changing appearance is in her story.
For example, Tifa was a late bloomer. She was relatively tall, but flat when Cloud went to Midgar. Not only that, but all the boys who used to be her playmates (suitors) abandoned the town when they got older. They grew bored of the town and her, leaving her alone.
They didn't appreciate her, and a couple years later, she's a real knockout at the age of 15. The only one really loyal to her was Cloud and that was prior to her coming into her womanhood.
Whoop-dee-fucking-do. She looks the same as she ever did, just in much higher resolution. I honestly don't get why people are getting bent out of shape.
