Actually, he got his "bird in the hand" by eating before he left Kanazawa. He just had his hopes up for another bird in Maizuru, as it were.

He didn't fill up in Kanazawa because he thought he'd be doing it here in Maizuru. That's the two in the bush.

He filled up enough that the lack of good food wasn't fatal. He didn't starve, and he was able to get one good local meal. He didn't get everything he wanted, but he didn't come out empty-handed (stomached?), either.

Unrelated and also is kinda a long shot but does anyone remember what was the strip about kogasa and karaoke with some big shot guess(es)? All I can remember was that they didnt sing at all unlike post #3587320

Since your link is to this post, I'm not sure which one you were actually trying to rule out, but my first thought for what you ARE trying to find is this strip and/or maybe the ones following it.

Yes and the strips you posted were exactly the one I wanted to rule out. I dont know why but for some reasons the strip I want to find keeps haunting me and the fact that I cant find it made me even more agitated.

All I can remember weas that the author was singing and there was a guest or 2 watching him but they didnt sing at all because of some contracts or something.
I have tried to filter for the prismriver sisters, lily back/white and reread all the karaoke strips and at this point I'm not even sure if it even exists.
