  • がんばれ小傘さん 3170

    自分の日頃の行いを小傘さんに投影して描いてみようという日記漫画です。

    あんまり長く紫外線を当てても、逆に一気に固まりすぎて割れたりするらしいんですよねー。

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 3170

If you hit it with UV for too long a time, apparently it'll get hard too fast and break.

Neat, I haven't read this comic strip for years, but I like the 3D printing topic. SLA printers (resin) suck. Like the only real application is where you need a hundredth of a millimeter of accuracy for like medical or dental purposes. Kosaga should have gone with a regular FDM printer. Not only are the prints much stronger, but they tend to be more reliable, and it is way cheaper material being used. If you have basic metalshop equipment you can also make your own shredder and filament extruder and turn your failed prints or bulk plastic trash from the junkyard and make new spools of filament printing material. PLA is pretty much a worthless material aside from lost casting, I suggest PETG for the majority of high strength applications, and ABS for cost saving low strength applications. To compare, 1kg of resin is often $70-150 while 1kg of filament is only $10-20. No messy curing process either, although I do sometimes vapor treat my ABS products or boil in water if a warp is already present, or warping isn't a huge issue.

    But here's the thing
So adjusting it to "5 minutes" or something is tough
    I Wonder If I Can
Why is there a UV light for manicures here?
That's for additional hardening for the 3D printer output
I just want to put it in for only 5 minutes, but
That only has a 2-minute timer and an always-on mode
The timer that connects to the plug has only a 3-hour variety
    Something's starting again…
Did you get interested in make-up?
If I left it on I'd definitely forget…
If it's come to this then I'll make one myself!!
