In all seriousness, this is probably the single dumbest not-scandal in gaming at the moment. People will literally complain about absolutely nothing like it's a life or death matter.

The funny thing is that her breasts were never as big as fanart would have you believe. She's one of the oldest examples of Self-Fanservice (not that she wasn't already attractive to begin with), so the complaints about her getting a "reduction" is not only false, but selective memory as well.

To be fair, her 3D model has pretty massive boobs. Only cause of the 3D limitations at the time. It was either be flat as a box, or have 2 other big boxes on the chest. There wasn't much for middle ground.

Same goes for other 3D models of that era with Triangle Boobs.

If they'll censor her boobs/outfit, they'll censor anything. Wait until Jenova is turned into a smoke monster ala Advent Children instead of "The Thing" knock off it was originally. Because horrible mutilated tentacle monster is too graphic *and* expensive to depict in HD, while smoke is cheap and mysterious.

Barret won't even be half as angry as he used to be. He'll be so well adjusted you won't even have a clue as to what he's been through in his life. Because angry black man is not PC.

The trick is to look at the artwork rather than the ingame model, since the art represents the actual intended design.

Which was about the size she is in the remake, which given the sports bra means she's BIGGER now.

I am aware of the artwork. The question, how many chances in-game do you get to see Tifa's full protrait along with the other cast? Last i checked, there's the face potraits in the menu, and that's practically it. All cut scenes were used with in-game models as well.

I believe the only way to see any of the character's full potraits (and this was also a time before everyone could afford internet) was to buy the Art book. And that wasn't too terribly popular back in the day.

And i just took out my PS1 game just now to look at the instruction manual (damn you remember those?). And the manual only shows in-game models.

So i don't think theres any spot in the game itself as well as the packaging which shows off the intended 2D artwork without being a massive fan and buying the artbook.

well there are the 3, yes 3, full cgi cutscenes that show a fully rendered tifa, and while she is large, she is not as insanely gigantic the fandom remembers her.

The context doesn't make sense? What is this other person asking, or implying that she felt she had to correct them on?

Doubt it. If I had to guess, I'd say Western artists who draw questionable or explicit content get tripped up by Japanese censorship rules, which Pixiv likely enforces to some degree. That wouldn't apply to a picture like this with just nipples. Something like post #3578424 for example, I could definitely see causing problems, though.

@SerialBus500 He said in the twitter it's because of him not censoring his work. Pixiv is pretty strict on that.

on a side note...can you see Tifa's pantsu from original version during her animations?

i saw one game that has the player going to some measure just to see a character's pantsu. it was one of the more recent Atalier games..

Spats is sexy sure but nothing beats Pantsu.
