I think that he and the people in his town are just that chill. Hell, when Greymon and Parrotmon had their little tussle nobody was that freaked out about it despite the fact that you had two giants lobbing destructive attacks at one another.

Yeah this was from a certain episode where he and Agumon was sent to the real world after defeated Etemon Powered up with weird cable ball with MetalGreymon's first appearance. The movie had Taichi and Hikari as babies who witnessed Greymon Vs Parrot yet the most adults didn't wake up instantly after obvious "earthquake" and loud noises....

Or if you are watching the English dub, the co driver of a truck that nearly ran over Agumon definitely saw Agumon. The driver didn't. He was sleeping

Yeah this scene really minded me of Mothman. Haha I know it had nothing to do with this but still not only that, when Parrotmon came out of that giant egg in the sky and flying around that obviously was seen by few also Agumon's Baby Flame accidentally hit the building surely woke some people living in there up...
