    There are trig functions and all coming up in the calculations! I'm was all like "What the heck's a 'root mean squared value'!?"

    Even if I used an arduino, determining the voltage worried me. I didn't draw it in the strip, so I'll note here that I put the measurement into a loop for about 5000 times and then took the average value. Even in a single round, the value differed depending on the timing of the measurement! It's because of AC! Damn you, Nikola Tesla!

    If you don't square each values, the average becomes almost 0. Because it's AC! The arduino actually can only measure 0-5V, though, so I padded the values by about 2.5V. (^^;)

    Tesla just happened to pick up allot of hipster fan boys as of late. Seriously go actually read up about the men in question before regurgitating tired memes please. Tesla was in addition to being nuts later on also quite often just a raging, egotistical prick and you know either A. completely delusional or B. a pathological lair regarding many of his more ridiculous claims like death rays and earthquake machines and shit.

    Edison may have had his moments, but he tended to treat the people working for him pretty well and a large part of his success was being you know... socially competent and generally likeable.
