I'm intrigued about how artist portrays a dirty house by just having a bunch of trash bags. I mean, I cleaned past saturday and my house is a war zone (damn you, hurricanes), but that apartment looks clean, except for those bags.
I remember that episode of Beautiful Bones where a poor woman couldn't leave her house because the back door was literally barricaded by mountains of trash bags.
I don't think it's just this artist. It might just be a stereotypical way to show a trashy home in anime.

it's because you have to separate your trash in japan and there are very strict laws about throwing away large objects and other special stuff, and that takes a lot of time to do, so it basically just a metaphor for being sloppy and lazy, or no having time to do it because of work
