Yesterday Kogasa spun out in a turn, so this might be an aerial view of that.

In some old Indy 500 game for PC I use to do that constantly. Turn around at the start and run the course in reverse. Of course I was trying to make it a demolition derby as the game as silly huge debris physics, and hitting the other cars head on a speed was really fun to watch.

I think it's an accidental backwards drift around the corner, or maybe just plain backwards.

Could be drawn/pasted incorrectly. Also, Kogasa's speech bubble is untranslated in panel 3, though it looks like grunting of some sort.

Title is a reference to Machine Dolls.
