If you mean Oiccrene, he's definitely talking about Kawakami's story. The first arc of the game's main story involves exposing the emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of a teacher towards students, so that part was right.
But to suggest that Kawakami's story centers around something similar sounds like someone who's only heard of the "That's the best part!" memes and never actually played the game. Her struggles are all about money.
her story wasn't about sexual misconduct with a student. she was being blackmailed by a pair of deadbeat parents.
Because they were accusing her of sexual misconduct with a student. Thatâs what they were blackmailing her with.
Edit: admittedly among other things. But if your reached the climax of her story, thatâs what it all comes down to.
I mean, I can quote dialogue to you if you want. Do you want that?
They even bring up her maid job to drive this point home. Thatâs how they drive her into a corner and necessitate the main character intervention. By bringing up that sheâs engaging in sex work.

No, they were blackmailing her by claiming her to be responsible for his death, after she was forced to stop tutoring him because the principal wanted to force him to transfer to another school. The accusations of sex work come later when the parents learn about her part time job, which offers both normal housekeeping services and "extra" services (Kawakami only offers the former), and threaten to make it public that she's secretly a prostitute to coerce more money out of her.
It's been a while since I last played it, so the exact details are fuzzy, but even if the parents were accusing her of having slept with their son (which they were only using him in the same way they're using Kawakami anyway), that was never the core conflict of the situation. Kawakami only took the maid job to pay their extortion fees, so they couldn't have been blackmailing her with that until recently.
The entire conflict stems from the parents' selfish and hedonistic desires, not Kawakami allegedly sleeping with students. The situation is not comparable to Kamoshida's situation at all.
Well, this is all irrelevant, since I was clearly saying that the rumors of an illicit relationship were the big underlying cause at the climax of the story. But I was wrong anyway, so it doesnât matter lol
You said the details were fuzzy. Same for me. I misremembered some key moments that seemed to paint a clear picture
Sheâs hesitant to get involved in a studentâs life. Keeps noting how inappropriate this is. Very insistent that nothing sexual will happen.
Says things will get complicated if they get too involved with each other.
She cut Daiki off because she was afraid of rumors being spread. I thought it was clear what the rumors were. Actually, theyâre just about him being a delinquent.
She would have gotten in trouble for spending too much time with one student. Thought that was clear.
Her parents do compare Joker and their son. They say âfooling around with another student, huh?â That seemed really clear.
They note that joker hangs around her a lot before bringing up her sex work. I thought they knew about her visiting joker since he was in the room but it was actually just a guess.
All combined with the fact that she is currently engaging in sex work, visiting her student and night exploiting him for money and then actually DOES get romantically with said student and Daiki was heartbroken she wouldnât keep tutoring him. The parallels and direct comparisons with joker being yet another male student.
It all seemed clear to me. The twist was, they were accusing her of sexual misconduct with their son and saying that was the cause of his death. it seemed like a clever and ironic use of all this teacher fetish fanservice.
I made the comment 3 years ago, and it had been awhile since I played even then
The dots connected in my head. I was emotionally invested in a story I only read once. My bad.
I also think I had also seen a show with a similar plot at the time.

She was tutoring the student because his grades were failing due to his being overworked. He died because he fell asleep at the wheel of his car and crashed. They accused Kawakami of being responsible, claiming her tutoring was what was making him tired. The Illicit implications is directed at Ren since they *knew* she was moonlighting as a maid to pay them off. And they threatened her current job with rumors of sexual affairs because she had to move schools because the principle wanted to damage control his school's reputation,

Yup. I actually had a read through her confidant before I made my comment. I donât know if he falls asleep at the wheel. I thought it might have been implied that he just lost the will to live, or if he slipped in the rain(she did say it was raining) or even if he was just distracted on the phone while he should have been driving.
The funny thing is, they didnât actually know she was moonlighting as a maid. He just guesses and she proves him right with her reaction. They actually made zero illicit implications towards joker. When the father asks âfooling around with another studentâ? That seems almost sexual right? No. Checked the original Japanese. He says something like âyouâre being a nuisance to another studentâ.
There is actually ZERO IMPLICATION of any sexual relationship with her students at all. He threatens her with the sex work just because of the schoolâs reputation.
Umm....I'm Kawakami Sadayo and I teach Japanese language. This right here is my boyfriend. He's one of my homeroom students that I teach...Right now, he and I...are going to have sex until morning on his bed...
