As far as I'm concerned, I'm considering it as a trap.
I see--So they're vague about addressing Chrona in the manga and anime, but it tends to hard-translate into English. And as far as the trap thing is concerned, I'd only be concerned if I thought Chrona's feminine qualities rated a good fap. Note how I skirted gender in that last sentence. Also, I'm tagging this "ambiguous_gender" for obvious reasons.
until it's fully verified by the author, i think you should refrain from giving Chrona a gender completely as well. better be safe than sorry if it turns out to be the opposite of what you're thinking Chrona's gender is.

"...and knowing is half the battle!"
I'm smarter now thanks to danbooru. I know it's tough for fansubbers, and that's why they're flopping Chrona's gender back and forth. I can't imagine what a bad time French fansubbers are having, since they assign a gender to everything via the article.
I don't know... I generally try to stop people from pulling down my pants too. In fact, I recall a scene where Ragnarok flipped Maka's skirt, leaving an embarrassed Chrona to recieve Divine Punishment.

i think so also i neda go back to the episode. It was the one where stein was fighting medusa, i think been a while, and the thing chrona is wearing a dress??

No, that's just bad subbing at work. Chrona has never been referenced as either a boy or girl. But judging by the low voice, the tall stature, use of "boku", and male type reactions I'd say it's a guy.

If that's all it took, Souseiseki wouldn't be eligible for the Alice Game.

Please stop quoting bad scanlations as confirmation. The translators likely took that route because it's nearly impossible to speak of someone in English without disclosing their gender or sounding extremely awkward.
Actually, in the English translation of the manga(the official one that ya spend money on) Crona is a boy. Stein says "he" when refering to Crona during their fight. And Maka shows amazement when Stein uses his soul wavelength to go "right through him' (him being Crona) so Crona is a boy.
