Abubu took the first characters of "エレベーターガール/Elevator Girl" and mashed them together to refer to this bird Friend. What would be an appropriate translation? EleGirl-chan?
First time Arai-san has demonstrated some awareness that messing with the elevator / this place isn't a good idea? She normally gets by seemingly unaware of the lethal stuff all around her.
There's been a few times where she showed*nervousness* at the situation but those were fairly benign. This time is very unsettling because it's like she's being held hostage.

It may not be your attention, but both of those examples and this one have one thing in common: she's in the elevator. Though I suppose being in a small closed-off box that crosses over time and space would be unsettling for anyone. Especially now that we know you're not safe in it either.
Racoon doesn't seem to understand that the weirdness is dangerous or something to be afraid of, but she understands normal situations and reacts appropriately to them. She gets nervous around a stranger speaking a foreign language she doesn't understand, but when she sees a lake in the middle of the apartment with a sea creature inside, she only thinks that she should tell the landlord there's been a leak.
Racoon also tends to leave immediately without touching anything or otherwise getting curious whenever she goes someplace she didn't intend to go and goes directly to their apartment because Fennec said so (which is why she lives when everyone else gets killed), so she's probably nervous here mostly because Fennec told her not to mess with the elevator more than because she understands that the elevator is actively dangerous.

To be fair, she never actually saw the monster, she just walked into a flooded basement level and immediately left. The degree of flooding was certainly noteworthy, but it's hardly anomalous or even scary by itself.
We're gonna reach a weird floor noda.S-stop noda.
That clearly isn't Raccoon-san's floor noda."Raccoon-san's floor", you say?Certainly!
