I can't read a word Japanese, but IE doesn't seem to eat the kanji. Looks like the site is using some form of coding that firefox can't read. Here's the text:
"Karlsland". "Haidemari 'W' Shunauhufa (?)" a 15-year old (in 1944) "Night Witch" apparently (by the name and kill count over 100) based on real-life top scoring German Nachtjagdflieger ace Heinz-Wolfgang Schanaufer (121 kills).
Dflowen said: Heidi is her name. Looks about right than Haidi. LOL you know how the Japanese spell things in english. So where is she from Russia or England?
Considering that Heidi is a famous, stereotypical German name, why would you think she was from Russia or England?
Heidi-Marie W Schanaufer (Age 15 as of 1944) Karlsland Air force, White Peregrine Familiar. Flight Lieutenant
Karlsland's strongest Night Witch. The only reason her kill count had yet to reach 100 by the end of 1944 was due to taking part only in night-time air combat missions.
In addition to her Night Witch Radar techniques, she also posses powerful night vision magic which allows her to see clearly in a little as ambient starlight.
Due to her initial inability to control her talents, she was forced to stay indoors in dim light at all times as a child. Brought into the Witches training organization at the age of 10, her talents quickly blossomed as she learned to better control her powers.
While her nightvision talent is no longer uncontrolled, the early damage to her optic nerves could not be repaired even with magic, requiring her to use very strong glasses most of the time.
Perhaps due to her childhood, she longs for friends of the same age, a trait not normally associated with the often solitary Night Witches.
1944, Active Service, Air Force (Nighttime) (After reaching 100 kills, she was promoted to Squadron Leader becoming Karlsland's youngest Air Combat Wing Commander.)
[Translated to the best of my abilities from Fumikane's blog article on her.]
I actually translated these about a month and a half ago on the AS forums. I'll repost the translations here I guess.
****************
Heidemarie W. Schnaufer (15 years old in '44) Service: Karslander Air Force (Karlsländer Luftwaffe) Familiar: Gyrfalcon Rank: Captain (Hauptmann)
Karlsland's top night witch (nachthexe). By the end of 1944, she was nearing a shot-down count of 100, all of which were scored in air combat at night.
Together with a magic radar antenna, a tell-tale feature of a night witch, she has a special night vision ability which allows her to see clearly through darkness by starlight.
As a child she had trouble controlling this night vision ability, and thus went through much of her life indoors in dimly lit conditions. At the age of 10, she was admitted into a witch training program, and as she learned to control her powers, her talent as a night witch blossomed.
Soon, her night vision ability would no longer spontaneously activate, but the visual neurones which had already been damaged could not be healed even with magic, so she usually wears glasses with a strong prescription.
As if in response to her lonely childhood, she has a strong desire to make friends with others her age, which is surprising, especially in a night witch.
A currently serving night-fighter air infantryman in 1944. Once she reaches 100 victories, she will be promoted to Major (Major), becoming Karlsland's youngest combat air wing commander (Geschwaderkommodore).

romanization makes it "Haidi" but it's pronounced the same way as "Heidi". And the direct translation would be into "Heidi" since fewer Germans have the name "Haidi" than the name "Heidi"
