ah, but that's the thing, Komachi isn't your usual shinigami. Huge scyte, yes, capable of beating the crap of anybody, yes, but she actually cares a lot for living people. Not to mention, if we go with the Narutoverse version of the Death God, she'd probably forget to collect her soul until Tsunade's died from natural causes.
