Because of this, I wouldn't call in my assistants until the last minute, and during production, I'd be working through the original art while everyone else was sleeping. I had my assistants sleep for about six hours a day, but their sleep time was also calculated in their hourly wages. Naturally, I also supplied transportation costs for coming to my place.
It was often down to the wire, so I had to deal with large numbers.
