Val normally draws Joker when he draws the p5 girls bu this time all we can see is that he has short hair just like Ryuji.
My hypothesis is that Val didnt want the backlash from drawing Ryuji x Ann since most fans want to be able to self insert themselves with Joker, so he just implied it to be Ryuji and left it at that.
