Pro-tip: take a second mask, remove one of the strings and use it to tie the two loops of the first mask together. Instead of holding onto your ears, it'll hang on to the back of your neck and avoid problems like this.
I take off my mask by placing my fingers in the lace and doing a フ motion behind my ears, from the bottom to the middle, and pull the lace when I touch the "legs" of my glasses. Never had a problem like this.
