Well, I DO see something—specifically, a white head of hair disappearing behind a wall down by Ooyodo's legs in panel 2. Is Hoppo in the base again?
I think that's Sheffield's frozen head. The ahoge and style match the last panel, and imply that she's been there the whole time but Ooyodo and idiot Admiral have been too blind to notice her.
you know, considering that Ido's kanmusu are regularly able to decimate the Abyssals, one has to wonder why there's still a war on.
They can't attack the Abyssals' base of operations or their industry. In fact, the term "war" may be a bit of a misnomer, this may have de-escalated to the point of pest removal by now.

Ido writes two kinds of comics; Ones based around the game's seasonal events, like this one, and Ido's original, character-driven plots, like the Black Kashima or Also Sprach Gambier Bay. The formal typically portrays the girls of Idobase running roughshod over the Abyssals and defeating them in ridiculous comical ways, while the latter tends to portray the Abyssals as more of a serious threat.
But when it comes to quick defrosting, nothing beats San-Shiki shells IMHO
