    屋根の形は特定防止のために実際のウチとは違います。
    もうちょっとややこしい形をしてますので結構面倒でした。

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 3653

To prevent getting pinpointed, the shape of the roof is different from ours. It's got a slightly more complex shape to it, so it was quite a pain.

Good news is if the tool set from the previous page and this safety line is enough to repair the roof, that still puts the cost way below the initial 400k-600k from hiring a specialist.
Then again we haven't seen how expensive the roof tiles are.

Bearing in mind an interest, in that I fell from a [ carpenter fixed ] loft ladder a few years ago, and smashed my good right arm: scaffolding would be best. My fastened ladder swung from under me, but rungs can buckle, lines can break and anything that can go wrong may do so.

Re the slating in the last but one column I looked up slates again, and came across this elderly --- and somewhat erroneous --- thread:

There was an older mason in town last week about two blocks from our house finishing some chimney repointing. He hosed down his brickwork and unfortunately must have forgotten that it was a slate roof. One step onto the wet slate and he fell 40 feet to a bluestone patio. He died shortly after arriving at the ER.

Since You Entrust It with Your Life
How are you going to climb up on the roof?
Are you going to assemble scaffolding?
That would cost a ridiculous amount of money.
Personally, I'd do like leaning a ladder against the house and climbing that.
    Wouldn't that be dangerous?
That's why I'd string up a safety line like this...
and extend a lifeline from it like this!
    I see.
    Pricey!?
    Safety line
However, the tools to hang a safety line on your roof are ungodly expensive.
