Is it bad that I like this version of the route? Looks much more adorable than the original
How is it more adorable if girl Shirou has equally bad excuses to try to keep Saber out of combat just because she has massive PTSD and doesn't want to see him get hurt for her sake?

maybe because here Saber isn't female, wich kinda pushes the more "heroic" aspect of the servant? idk, you tell me
Edit: actually, clumsy me, I just remembered that the reason Shirou didn't want Saber to fight was because it didn't wanted her to be hurt (also because it was a girl), here it might as well be the opposite, where shirou is the one to not wanting to be hurt

Nah, Shirou is Shirou so I fully imagine genderswapped Shirou would try to make a dumb excuse trying to justify why the genderswapped Shirou, Shiro, doesn't want genderswapped Saber to protect her because of the fundamental HERO OF JUSTICE and general need to protect others and lack of care for one's own survival that fuels Shirou's character.
