    French Cuirassier ?

    My favourite uniform.

    Interestingly, as I came to loathe Napoleon; I was pleased to discover the uniform actually pre-dated the Revolution, aside from the glorious helmet --- kinda like the 'Napoleonic Code' which he had very little to do with ( like Justinian's Code ), which was mostly written by a bunch of old Royalist lawyers...

    The helmet also predates his reign. As far as I can tell, French cavalry started wearing those at some point in the second half of the 18th century
