The interface port is just sat on top of the skin?
I think it has been surgically removed here, either to be replaced with a more subtle variant (as kinda mentioned in post #3334095) or as a result of Kaga being decommissioned for some reason, such as the war having ended in this universe or Kaga just getting replaced with a stronger ship.
