Artist's commentary

  • Original
  • QShaman-chan

The invasion of the Capitol in the US has given us a lot of surreal images and one of them was this weird tribal guy who has been named QShaman. Doing what i do best, i've turned it into a cute chan. Check my commission rates and support my patreon for mature content.

La invasión del capitolio en Estados unidos nos ha dado muchas imagenes surrealistas, y una de ellas fue ese tipo raro tribal que ha sido llamado QShaman. Haciendo lo que se hacer mejor, lo volví una chica mona.

Because they can? Seems about the same reason they make art of Kim Yo-Jong or Natalia Poklonskaya. We also have images of genderswapped dictators on the site. People just make this stuff.

I mean why was there a man dressed up like a buffalo in the capitol building?

He fancies himself as a shaman of sorts, so that getup is probably his idea of what a "shaman" is.

Yeah, the name he goes by with that getup is "Q Shaman" so he's going for that kind of theming. A pusher of the whole QAnon stuff.

Meanwhile, Jack Angeli argues with Lin Wood that he's not Antifa and he's QAnon, turns himself into the authorities, and gets organic food because he can't eat the regular prison food.

Also, one week after drawing this, the artist is panicking over censorship.

That doesn't surprise me. The right is always writing books about how they're being censored and holding conferences about how they're not allowed to speak.

Also, it's hilarious that the right is trying to say this guy is actually a democrat now that he's making them look bad. That's got to be the biggest insult to a Q guy.

I mean the precedents companies are setting over the restrictions they are putting on Trump et all are going to come back to haunt them. Once you ring that bell, you can't unring it. You have a variety of accounts, from Mio to random political figures, getting blocked by twitter without any cause stated. And I'm not talking about the idiots involved with the capitol storm.

I mean as amusing and agreeable the first sentence is, I think we should be also concerned just how much power these companies have amassed over the years to do what we're seeing now.

Especially with companies like google who are able to use their own resources to weaken the competition.

Pretty ironic given politicians like Ted Cruz were lobbyists for these tech companies years before they started complaining about their practices negatively affected them.

With how big lobbying is, I take anything anyone says in Congress with a grain of salt. I think it was Harry Reid who came in broke and left a millionaire after buying real-estate in an area where there just happened to be planned federal development there for a penitentiary.

If what happened to Parler is anything to go by, then the powers that be never intended for anyone to actually do it.

I think a word of warning needs to be made if anyone is going to be involved in this conversation.

Given how shoddily designed and moderated it was, it had too many flaws that have been easily exploited and pretty risky to be on.

That didn't stop people from using or wanting to use Adobe Flash, even after it was shot and left bleeding and is now effectively dead. No one animates in it but the installation base is still far too great a pull for some that they have that one outdated browser that is never ever to update.

I get the analogy you're trying to make, but I think Parler is significantly worse because it contained a lot of metadata that hackers were able to get before it went offline due to a security bug.

While it is shoddily designed, that's not why it was taken down.

Amazon apparently gave notice to Parler in mid-November about their lack of moderation and needing to rectify of it. They apparently gave them several further warnings throughout December and had referenced various posts from their site that actively called for the killing of various individuals (whether because of politics, race, or their gender identity) or posts wishing for things like a race war so they'd be able to kill blacks and Jews . The riot was really the last straw on the matter.

Back to QShaman, he had a trial today where his lawyer said his client was "answering the call of our president," and likened the relationship between Trump and his followers to the relationship between cult leader Jim Jones and members of the Peoples Temple. And he asked that Trump pardon the guy.

I'm not against moe-ification of real life people, but some of them just should not be. This guy, or anybody among the Capitol rioters, for that matter, are obvious examples of such. It's wrong on so many levels, that I couldn't even count them.

Worst he's done was leave a threatening message to Mike Pence, and in the artist's defense he only drew and uploaded it a day after the Riot, before we knew what exactly happened.
