I'll never understand why people choose to drag someone down instead on working on themselves.
Its just sick thrill. Basically, they know their life is shit and will continue to be shit but rather than try to work to improve themselves, whether they can or not even, they rather take the “easy way” of trying to make other people just as miserable as they are or perhaps even worse so that they can feel better. A sort of faux superiority. Because to improve yourself means putting in effort and time to do so, but to pull others down is much easier even if it requires just as much.
Jealousy might also be as well since whenever there is someone successful there will always be others that want to ensure that person will fail in one way or another.
At a certain point, it is more saddening than infuriating because if you look at it, you wonder how empty their life is that they can dedicate themselves to something so pointless and useless. Many might even just be kids too young to understand or care and is only looking for recognition or praises. Hell, it might not even be kids but even full grown adults still with the same mentality of a child who just want someone, anyone to tell them they did good or something along the lines of that. That’s the only reason I could think of that anyone could dedicate themselves this much.
