No I'm saying bad writing makes bad characters. I'm just sick of people justifying Shinn's failure as a character by saying it was writer's favoritism. He's an awful chracater. Period. And I actually liked Kira in SEED, it's just that Destiny fucked him up so bad I wanted him to die as much as Shinn.

Fact 1: Shinn sucks
Fact 2: Destiny Kira sucks
Fact 3: The entire Destiny cast, old and new, sucks.

The point is that if he wasn't so horribly written, he WOULDN'T be a bad character in the first place.
See, you can make someone into the atagonist and still have them well written.
