Yeah, it's obviously inspired bt the PS1 style of megaman Legends, there's been some artists and game devs creating art with Legends style in mind.
i can point you some of them if you like this style:

I like how it devolved into Devilman's theme in the end.

A lot of indie games use that PS1 style. Alphabetagamer has a whole showcase of games if your interested.

There is a PS1 Devilman game (not well known in west iirc) that also uses MML style graphics, aka, this. It's a great style for psx.
