"So, is the spell ready?" Asked the scheming young man.
"I can't possibly guarantee the effectiveness or success rate of such magic. I'm literally casting this by eye."
"A talented archwizard like you? I'm sure this is well within your range, and after all, you knew the references personally."
"We weren't exactly close friends or anything like that, we just worked for the same person. Even then, I don't see how that makes me privy to any crazy abilities they pull off in what I can only imagine was a miracle."
"But I believe in you, let that be all the encouragement and motivation you need to attempt this spell."
"I still doubt that even if it activates, it can't maintain without a united thought behind it."
"Leave that part to me, now let's get this show on the road."
Kazuma had gain some curious inspiration from his encounter with the Demon King General Sylvia, seeing them not only defy death, but joined bodies with their perished comrades. Seeing is only believing, but then Kazuma had a brief hands on experience as he used himself to be a weak point on Sylvia's body. Surely, this kind of power can be recreated. And if it can join 3 Demon King Generals, SURELY it could be used to combine 3 flawed party members into 1 half-way decent party member, at least!
Employing the magical prowess of the Lich Wiz, they had created a magic circle that would remove boundaries, and pull objects together. Normally used to synthesize special hybrid materials and goods, a few creative tweaks and some obscure chants, and the spell was ready to go. Now while inanimate objects could not resist the influence of the spell, to cast it on people would prove normally impossible. Innate individualism, and willpower could interfere with the basic properties of the spell, causing it to break at the source. BUT with one special ingredient, Kazuma was certain his party could pull this off, possibly unknowingly.
With the circle in place, the next step was simple enough, get Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness to stand on it. An ordinary invitation to Wiz's shop, and all the pieces had fallen into place. Upon all 3 entering the doorway, Kazuma deployed his tactic to make the magic work. A carefully crafted series of verbal jabs, and snide remarks. With that, all three girls where thinking in synch about how much they wanted to hurt Kazuma right about now. Seeing that look in their eyes, Kazuma signaled to Wiz to commence the spell! And in a flash, the following events happened.
Boundaries removed, anything between the girls was cast aside magically, meaning first things to go were their outfits, from there, their flesh was made pliable and moldable. The pull happens, and the girls are smooshed together, and for but a brief moment, a beautiful image of these 3 embracing appeared, though tarnished by various degrees of reaction between the 3, a mental photograph was snapped. On to the next step! With boundaries removed, and proximity at the most non-existent it could be, the 3 girls were merged together, and with careful calibration, their combined form was stabilized, and out of respect and decency, Wiz had added a layer to the magic circle to repeat the process for their clothes.
"YES YES YES, it worked! Darkness' strength and durability, Megumin's intelligence stat and Explosion magic, and Aqua's...." A bitter silence permeates the situation just a moment too long perhaps. "ALL JOINED TOGETHER INTO ONE SUPER PARTY MEMBER."
Wiz chimes in a few words about the situation, "Yes, it would seem the spell has gone off without a hitch, but I can't help but notices the combined bloodlust filling the room from them, so I think I'll be over-" before Kazuma can even hear the rest of the words, the Archwizard had fled out the back door.
"KAZUMA..." A strangely familiar but all too different voice growled. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU."
With a bluntly confident and blank stare, Kazuma responds: "Is that anyway to treat the man who helped make you as great as you can be?"
With astounding strength, backed by new found accuracy, a silver sword flashes downward on Kazuma. "GOD BLOW, EXPLOSION!"
Whatever remained of the man who helped make them as great as they could be, was sent to Eris for reincarnation.
Or something like that.
