Timeline-wise, when did Maria-Nearl event happened? Heck, has anyone lined up the events in Arknights based on the chronological order?
The majority of the events are 1 year after Chernobog; Children of Ursus is explicitly so, Obsidian Festival is implied based on the year (it's in 1097, when the Chenobog incident is in 1096). Darknights' Memoir is explicitly 3 years before the present. Basically if the Doctor is already in Rhodes in the event, this mean the event is 1 year after Chernobog because the entire main story is in the span of 2 weeks between 1096-1097.

Almost all operators were recruited after the Doctor got amnesia. Only a handful were still around before the Chernobog mission to rescue the Doctor, and a lot of them died in the process. Safe to say Platinum isn't an RI veteran.

This is explained in the event; Platinum is sent to RI by Chamber of Commerce to watch over Nearl after she returns to Kazimierz to save Maria. In the letter from Kazimierz's National Council, the Doctor is already in Rhodes and the Followers are sent by RI as envoys to 'threaten' Kazimierz over their Infected knights' assassinations. Ergo, the event is after Chernobog.
