I kind of doubt it's the actions of these Arknights fans that resulted in the ship bans. The CCP is notoriously heavy handed and very detailed in their censorship. They might already have Azur Lane on a list of entertainment they need to "correct" due to how popular it is and how sexual it is.

The Arknights CN community has a reputation for having a remarkably psychotic subsection. This isn't the first time shit happens from them.

Also it's pretty clear the CCP's look at current AL was not detailed given they only banned the prominent and easy to acquire boats, completely ignoring skins or, say, Formidable and Zara (who're currently out of War Archives therefore unobtainable).
