Taiwanese here. This bowl of douhua(tofu pudding) is bullshit. Nobody here puts wolfberries and cashew nuts in douhua. Tapioca is correct. Mango..... maybe some would, but it's not common.

I've been to Japan, Malaysia, also Singapore and hoooo boy. If you think that combination was bad...wait until you saw what goes there. Japan: Kinako powder with brown sugar. Matcha powder and small marshmallows. Blueberries with caramel and yoghurt (yes, it's actually good.) Malaysia: MOTHERFUCKING DURIAN and coconut milk. Jackfruit, banana and chocolate sprinkles. Roasted peanuts, bits of old bread, colored bubble-tea like jelly. Singapore: Hot ginger soup (don't know what they called it?) and brown sugar over few pandan leaves > This shop is run by chinese migrant so I think this is the closest to original? -but there's also shops selling the 'modern' take with caramel mint dressing, heck there's an indian shop selling them with some kind of hot sauce.
You can try Douhua, the syrupy and mildly sweet, tofu-pudding-like sweet from Taiwan in Kure! This authentic item is made under the supervision of Taiwanese staff. As the name Dan Yang suggests, this is part of the KanColle collab menu. It makes for surprisingly light eating, making it suitable for female admirals as well!Cote D'Azur (inside Clayton Bay Hotel)MangoTaiwan in Kure!Goji berryTaiwanese Douhua Dan YangTake out available!TapiocaCashew nutsDouhua
