prolly cause it's Valentines day and in Japan its custom for the male recipients to return the favor (usually with a gift three times more expensive) on White day. Basically they are throwing him a huge party on V-day cause they expect something tenfold on W-day. If I was in Kaito's shoes I'd probably want to die as well lol
