    Bikini armor would be a legit strategy if you had insane life-regen and toughness but your armor didn't have auto-repair, and it was cheaper to just tank hits with your flesh and fight semi-naked than get new clothes.

    Well, the only bikini armor that I make exception for is on Mazken ("Dark Seducers") from The Elder Scrolls universe. Because they don't really need that armor, being badass soldiers and reincarnation-type ("respawners") immortals.
    Excluding said example, I prefer properly armored/unformed girls with as little as possible elements of "fetish garb" attire and more practical look.

    It feels like over the last decade-or-so that it's slowly becoming a discredited trope/meme. If it does show up, its mainly as a joke.
