With the translation (Thanks, whoever it was! You're awesome!) it makes more sense. Yuuka was fighting with herself and was distracted by Cirno, and Sanae took advantage of that, pointing out to Yuuka that she actually cares quite a lot for Cirno...if she didn't, Yuuka wouldn't have hesitated.

The fact that Sanae was even able to stand up at that point is still BS.
Rereading this has softened my opinion of Sanae... mainly due to how she gives those she pins some peace of mind therapy. I cannot say the same for Suwako. Both her and Yuuka went out of line (though it was much more expected of Yuuka)
I approve of this pairing. But I disapprove of their defeat. I hope Sanae and Suwako lose soon...Maybe to Utsuho. Yeah, that'd be awesome. Defeat by Utsuho. That'll teach them...

Considering that Sanae and Suwako are basically being protected by popularity power (along with numerous other characters in the comic, such as Sakuya), don't count on it.

Essentially, this. The next team to face them will forfeit if they know what's good for them.

Popularity shields don't work when both teams have them. Cirno and Yuuka are easily as popular as Sanae and Suwako. I mean, it's Cirno.
It's kinda hard to say that when the loser of the match was beaten under circumstances that are just plain ridiculous to believe. (Yuuka could've easily broke out of Sanae's rollup, especially after how badly she got her ass kicked in the match.)
Not to mention that popularity polls typically have Sanae beating out Yuuka by a somewhat large amount then another large amount before Suwako's name shows up then a smaller amount before Cirno appears. (Cirno actually dropped in popularity between TPP6 and TPP7, though Fairy Wars might give her a rebound.)
The face getting a flash pin on the distracted heel is a standard pro wrestling trope, and so is the hardcore heel just wanting to abuse the face instead of going for the win.
Don't get pissy just because your favorite Touhoues lost.
The main complaint isn't that Yuuka/Cirno lost, it's that they lost in a ridiculous fashion (there's also the factor of a vastly huge difference in power between Yuuka and Sanae) to the point that not even a rollup pin would've made sense. More people would be willing to accept this if Yuuka got herself DQ'd or if Suwako mounted a (believable) comeback win, for example.
Nice trigun reference. Sanae might be as retarded as Vash...
vash isnt retarded, infact he's quite intelligent actually. he just makes himself look like an idiot so he wont stand out. his determination to bring love and peac to the world only shows his care. vash is smart and makes himself look like an idiot so people dont suspect hes vash the stampede, though sanae...i think shes just an empty skull. cute but still. she doesnt have to try to be an idiot.
For me it depends on how much the team wants to win. The less serious about winning a team is, the more it hurts for me to see them win. With Yuuka losing despite clear superiority, I'm okay with it because Yuuka didn't seem to really be in the tournament for any other reason than to hurt people, which she can and does do elsewhere anyway, so story wise she doesn't have a motivation that can stay interesting. Plus, her story with Cirno is where its at for this and both sides seem to have left with something so in that area I'm satisfied.

She was in it to fight Suwako...
Well, I enjoyed watching her beat the crap out her opponents, if with some difficulty (especially then, actually), but I can accept the morality cookie ending.
I really didn't like this win for Sanae and Suwako, despite having both characters on my top 10 list for characters. Mainly because Yuuka is a character I like more than both. But I guess this series is really interesting considering how they beat her (and Cirno) this way.
I am beginning to think the author is treating Sanae like a Saiyan. Beat the crap out of her and she'll come back stronger. Because she's got "miracles" on her side, she can recover quickly, if briefly.
It could be amusing to see Sanae verse Reimu in this. Sanae's miracles + Saiyan like powerups verses Reimu's hax-like abilities and "you don't have a chance, you know that, right?" attitude.
You did so well on your own, Yuuka. If we combine our powers, we'll win next time!Even though we lost, I still love you, Yuuka!*annoyed*Oh, well.Cirno:
That's ok!Sheesh! You should learn to be more honest.I guess even long lived youkai have trouble communicating. Here's a hint for you:*Snap**Grab**Swoop*And That's Why Idiots Are AnnoyingThe world is Love & Pea-...*slap slap*Episode 219: Getting Carried AwayFrom the Artist's Pixiv pageSo we lost...What a relief~You always say too much...Let's not fight like that anymore. There there.
