Godspeed Kaichou. Kiryuu-kai legacy will forever remembered. On another note, what would happen with Kaichou's character in Hololive Alternative?
Dont quote me on this, but it’s possible they could still use Coco for Alternative projects and just hire her if she needs to voice. Retirement for a VTuber does mean they won’t be streaming anymore, but Cover still owns the rights to the character. If Cover is serious about expanding into more multimedia stuff they can always just hire her to voice Coco again for a project, just like hiring a voice actor for a show or game rather than a long term streaming contract.
...At least, I hope that’s how they’ll treat it. Otherwise, Godspeed and good luck Kaichou.
I love you Coco. I say this with everything I got. Maybe eventually I will look back and be embarrassed about such a thing and being so immature but at least for now, I do love you. I knew I should have worked harder for you. I knew I should have tried harder for you. I wanted to even go crazy and lose all sense of reason just for you, but I still kept control of myself cause that would be silly and because I know that it's more of a fleeting moment. Yet, I do wish I could have be a bit more and to be just a little more out of reason.
But still, I did love you. You brought me to a place where I can be happy, for a little while. Where I found myself laughing and interested in thing again, rather than the usual bitter blackness that I tend to roll around in. That's why I'm grateful. You will never read this. No one will, except maybe me and anyone else who stumble on this and would probably think this is just rambling and stupid. But even so, I'm glad to be able to catch your streams whenever I could, even if there were times I took it for granted.
I hope I can someday comeback to this and cringe and laugh at myself. Maybe it'll be tomorrow. Maybe it'll be in a week or a year or never. But still. Even if writing all this is pointless, I just want to say that yes, I did love Kiryuu Coco. Very much.
If not for Coco, I would've discovered Hololive a lot later. I enjoyed her work and I always felt like she really brought a lot of glow to Hololive in general.
Hearing the news was very sad and crushing for me, because she had made that much of an impact. Even now I keep wishing this was some sort of bad dream but I know it's reality and I hate it all the same.
Even when she leaves, though, Kaichou's legacy will live on. Nothing and no one can take that away from her.
They're but considering how there were at least 2 downvotes on multiple comments and even on the ones that were more than o7 it's somewhat suspect wouldn't you say?

Please don't lump us all together. =_=;;
Chinese people in general are fine, it's the CCP and the antis that deserve the hate. Sorry if you got caught in the crossfire, pal.

Well people are allowed to downvote whatever they want as long as there aren't any clear abuse or targeting going on.
You always hope that comments like this are said as memes or jokes and that the actions of a few whackjobs won't be used to cast judgement on millions. But then you see how well these comments are received and how many thousands of likes tweets like this are getting, and you start to wonder how many of those folks really believe this in their heart of hearts. Then you briefly think back on the history of how humanity has treated each other and you start needing a drink.
Let's hope these last few weeks with Kaichou can give us some great memories.

Good bye, Kaichou. o7
It's not time to say goodbye just yet--we still have a lot of streams from her planned until the end of the month. And I know that won't lessen the impact of all of this. But hey, it just means we got more time to enjoy her.

Listen, son, usually I'm all against racism and bigotry and all the hate but Fuck China! China hasn't given us anything good! First they get Best Dragon and Haachama suspended, then they take away the Honkai bunnies, and now this. I'll say it again, F-U-C-K China! Over a barrel with protruding nails! With a rusty rake!
I don't like what's going on, I mean, Kiryu has been having a good run lately, has made several collabs, received new outfits, etc. She has basically been having success, and suddenly decides that she is going to leave. I am not bothered by the idea that she graduates(I mean all of them, they will eventually graduate), but rather that she does it while she is at her best and without an explanation of why, but hey is her decision and we can only respect her.

Hiring her as a voice actress is probably the best they can do. She'll still be Coco, but she just won't be streaming under that identity anymore.

I don't mean to speculate, but it isn't unreasonable that she just wants to go solo and sell her own brand. She made a not insignificant amount of money as a vtuber. I'd be a little bit surprised if she walked off the scene. She might have become too valuable for the company to keep and is moving to a smaller hands-off agency like Vshojo, or possibly into the larger youtube scene as her real identity.
Point is she can still possibly be very successful going forward if she wants to. It'll be sad to see Coco depart, but I wouldn't get too torn up about the girl's future.
