I know we should be wishing her the best but, I'll be that guy to say it, Fuck China, I don't for a second believe this is all willing on Coco's part, those drones are nothing if not persistent, they just finally got to the poor girl....
Honestly, I have a vague bad feeling after the recent streaming that full of collab this week, it's like they want create as much memory with her before the time come

Someone in the Reddit posted a list that there were signs leading up to this. Ah, found it;
Man if you look at the past events the signs were basically already there and we just didn't anticipate it
1. The recent "collab only" streams 2. The sudden rise of activity on her "roommate's" channel (she just did an actual birthday stream) 3. Watame's emotional show of gratitude for Coco in helping her set up Watame no Uta 4. Botan's full UsaKen member Summer Festival 5. Cover being a little less strict with Coco (first EN collab with Calli was pretty neat, twice was a little sus, but having Kiara in the usaken summer fest should have gave us the idea that something was going on) 6. Supposed full 4th gen collab on the last meme review
As for my own theory on why she's leaving; The anti's had nothing to do with it, otherwise she would have left ages ago. I have a feeling it's a combination of creative differences/burnout, and Coco just not being a good fit for Hololive's goals. HL is still, ultimately, an idol company. However, does anyone remember when, or even if, Coco released a music video of her own?
Everyone accepts it, then so be it. I hope she is fine after Hololive.
If the state of the other channel is any indication, she will be. It's nearly doubled in size in terms of subs, and there seems to be a steady stream of new members.
It's really not. It hasn't been a genuine idol company since like at least Gen 2. Only a handful of the talents actually consider themselves idols, most of the rest have even made it abundantly clear that that's not what they are. Most use the word ironically.
None of Hololive or Covercorp's sites even mention the word idol. They refer to themselves as a "Vtuber talent agency."
Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is Cyber Bullying Real Hahahaha Just Walk Away From The Screen Like Bitch Close Your Eyes Haha
It's not about that dumbass, she clearly didn't give a shit anymore about antis on her stream, what she worried is that the other members got harassed as well and she think it was hers fault.

Ohoho. Don't underestimate CCP level (you're up against a large portion of brainwashed netizens of a country) or Japanese-level of cyber bullying (Your personal, social, and all of your family's life are basically destroyed; good luck staying sane when that happen).

Yeah for an example when Ina collabed with her, they started to spam Ina as well. And continued to do so even when it was set to members only.

No, they can and will go after anyone who "did something wrong" in their eyes about Taiwan. Look at even John Cena had to back down on a statement he made to stay in good graces with those folks.

Everyone lining up to be treated poorly by the CCP. McCarthur's "nuke China" plan sounding less insane by the day.
Her leaving must be terrible for morale and puts into perspective how unsecure their vtuber job is. Like imagine knowing your job was at the mercy of group of people trying to enforce laws on someone that's not even from that country. In my opinion they should all go independent because cover corp sure as hell isn't going to protect or stand up for them.

That's a terrible mentality to have. No one forced Coco to leave. She was not fired. Even if she chose to graduate because of the harassment, that's still her decision. Stop trying to shift blame to Cover every time something happens.
Does it really need to be repeated how little Cover can do against a bunch of bots when Youtube's moderation system is so horribly shit? How does going independent and losing what little security they may or may not have supposed to help them?

Coco's stronger than that. It's not about her. She would never resign because of some harassment. ALL CONJECTURE, but: If you want to be cynical, then it's about Cover Corp not properly supporting her, because they want to expand into China. If you want to be positive, then it's about Coco taking the bullet to protect the other girls from harassment (spam recently started to spread into other streams a lot.) But really, she specifically said it's "a lot of things" and there really probably isn't any one answer. It's probably a lot of factors that have added up to make her want to leave Hololive. She said that this has been planned for a long time. In any case, it's her decision, so we have to support it, if you love her. Even if we don't agree. That's what family does, right? We'll always be Kiryu-kai. Forever.
Stop violating history with your hate boner, cretin. MacCarthur's plan was just to seal off China's corridor to Korea with fallout.
There's no 'hate' if it's an inconvenient truth. There's no violation of history. As much as I hate to bring it up in a site for anime tiddies, there's a lot of signs that China has been up to some deep shit (Coco recognizing Taiwan as an independent country on Youtube being just one of many things).

Technically, She herself did not do what the Anti's are accusing her of, she was just viewing analytics about her viewers, if anything, it's YouTube/Google that shows them as an independent country, but since Google is way too big for these pansies to get mad at, cause all Google has to do is rat them out to the CCP that they're using VPN's or whatever, they decided to target Coco instead like the cowards they are.
It's hard to believe that China is strict with their laws if they aren't doing anything about people using VPN to bypass their laws and be on sites they're meant to be banned from, they should stay on BilliBilli and leave the rest of us alone, No one wants to deal with those mindless drones.
I believe someone pointed out that a potential irony of the situation is that Taiwan’s numbers were so high because so many mainland Chinese used VPN’s that were routed through Taiwan.

Never mind on that detail. If what she said on her May 31st stream is any indication, she would seem to be aiming for a manager job, but was told that becoming a part of the staff would mean she'd have to stop being a vtuber (likely due to how time consuming both jobs are).

Aaa~and never mind on that. She jossed the idea of becoming a staffer/manager, instead she will become an independent streamer/vTuber. The current theory is that she's leaving Hololive due to YT's policies being too creatively constraining for her.
