Man, there's a hole in my life. I always thought it would be Sora or Suisei or the others pillar that will graduate(properly) first, never thought in my mind that it will be Coco.
Though we know not for certain why she is leaving and it is likely we may never know, my comment will not be about speculation.
Instead, I say that we remember all the good times and memories that our beloved dragon girl gave to us, especially in the dark days of the early pandemic. That we preserve all that can potentially be lost once she has gone to honor her legacy.
I know that for many of us, it will be difficult to follow her words if staying positive. We must though at least try, for her sake and all the other talents. But most of all in my opinion we must endeavor to do better in protecting the talents from hate, to the best of our ability.
While the official reasoning is that it's her decision, everyone, including Coco herself admitting that she still wants to be involved in Vtubing really don't give me a good feelings on what's happening behind the scene.

Ya all are barking up the wrong tree with this stuff. There's no way Cover/Hololive would want one of their most popular and profitable talents to quit when they basically begged her to become a talent in the first place when she just wanted to be a producer. I'm betting the attention that everyone she collabs with gets from certain assholes from a certain land west of Taiwan has weighed heavily on her mind and is the primary reason she's quitting.
Hopefully she's stays on to be an EN Gen 2 producer because there isn't anyone more qualified to fill that role.

In my opinion, she's not afraid of getting hurt, she's afraid of others getting hurt because of her. That's the most reasonable thing i can take from this.

She said that she once asked to become part of the mangement staff, but was told she couldn't without quitting as a Vtuber. There's a good chance she did indeed decide on her own to quit in order to putsuit her original goal.

That's the general gist I got from her "onsen" stream. The impression I'm currently getting is that the anti's had nothing to do with her leaving. But the combination of exhaustion (mental and physical), accomplishing all she wanted to do in HL, and generally wanting to do her own thing are what lead to her departure. In other words, she decided to leave while she's on top and it was time for her to go.
