I forget if the official 4koma had a reference to it, but in the game Super Creek and Tamamo Cross have this dynamic where Creek wants to pamper Cross simply because she's smol and cute, and Cross is like "hell naw" lol. So perhaps it's that.

She does it with Taishin as well since they are roommate's.

Wasn't Creek in the anime treats Tamomo like a "baby"? But this doesn't apply in the game though.

But the meme is strong that it sticks.
